My child is an 11 year old who has participated in more than a half dozen productions with PPCT, including the current production of Twice Upon a Time as well as having recently joined the older kids for the first time in Shrek.  I am a big supporter of the community theater model, having grown up and developed so many skills and relationships in a community theater in my hometown in Michigan.  Our whole family is committed to the successful transition of PPCT to a fully independent, sustainable and vibrant community theatre program in which our children can thrive and grow as artists and citizens.

Professionally, I am an opera singer, director and teacher.  I’ve performed opera and oratorio with New York City Opera, Hawaii Opera Theater, the Center for Contemporary Opera, the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra, Opera on Tap, Rye Presbyterian Church, and the Putnam Choral, among many others.  As a director I have directed plays, musicals and operas for Ramapo College of New Jersey, Manhattan School of Music, and most recently The Wonderful Wizard of Oz for PPCT.  As a teacher, I have been faculty of the Precollege Division of Manhattan School of Music for over 15 years, where I teach private voice lessons, Acting for Singers and Opera Workshop.

In addition, I have served on the Board of Directors (several years as president) for the cooperative in which my family lives for most of the past 15 years, and I also serve on the Board of Directors of Opera on Tap  a national network of chapters committed to bringing opera to new audiences in unusual venues.
