Janice “Omar’s Mom” Kamrin has been involved with PPCT since 1999, when she and her husband Gustavo supported Rey Rey in his efforts to found the theatre. After the family’s return from a seven-year sojourn in Egypt, son Omar became an active PPCT participant, and the theatre became central to the Camps-Kamrins’ lives. Being part of PPCT has been a transformative experience for the whole family. We believe wholeheartedly in its mission, and recognize its importance to our community.
Janice is an Egyptologist and curator at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. She has served on the board of the non-profit American Research Center in Egypt for a number of years, and would be delighted to serve on the newly-formed PPCT board.
